12-volt DC marine electrical switch panel manufactured for Beneteau sailboats, commonly found on models from the late 1980s to the 1990s (such as the First or Oceanis series). [1, 2, 3]
Panel Layout & Features
  • Top Circuit Switches: Controls primary onboard systems including the fresh water pump, cabin lights (CABIN LTS), deck lights (DECK LTS), steaming lights, anchor lights, and standard navigation lights (NAV LTS).
  • Bottom Circuit Switches: Operates dedicated hardware including the bilge pump, LORAN (vintage navigation), sailing instruments, VHF/marine radio, and features two unassigned SPARE slots for custom add-ons.
  • Battery Tester: Features a central analog Battery Condition voltmeter alongside a toggle switch to test the electrical system's current voltage status. [1]
Common Maintenance Notes
If you are planning to test, wire, or restore this panel, keep these common quirks in mind:
  • Thermal Breakers: These switches act as both toggles and integrated circuit breakers. If an item won't turn on, check the backside of the switch to see if it needs a reset or replacement. [1, 2]
  • Status LEDs: The red indicator lights over each label frequently suffer from common negative ground connection issues or blown inline resistors. [1, 2]
  • Backlighting: Many of these production series faceplates use a localized circuit board behind the labels that can short out if moisture or corrosion builds up inside the navigation station. [1, 2]
